My favorite Radiohead album and possibly favorite album OAT. Bought it on vinyl off a whim one day and fell in love on first listen.
Welcome to the page where I shout into the void about my lukewarm music opinions! I love music (very unique, I know) and part of that love involves collecting records, cds, and arbitrarily ranking my favorite albums. On this page I'll briefly talk about my setup and collection, and rate the albums which I physically own.
I started collecting records in late 2024. My friend got me a record of JSchlatt's Christmas album, so I took that as my excuse to buy a record player and start collecting. My collection is currently at 48 records and 29 CDs, with them ranging anywhere from old jazz records to Radiohead, Tyler the Creator, Deftones, etc. The vast majority of my collection I've either stolen from my parents or bought from a local record store, shoutout to the Kitsch! Anyways, my collection and this page are always expanding, so be sure to check it out every now and then!
My setup is a Frankenstein's monster of equipment I stole from the basement and new stuff. My turntable is a Retrolife HQKZ-006, which connects to a Panasonic SA-HT800V VCR, which then branches out to the 3 Panasonic speakers and a SB-WA340 sub. Is this at all optimal? I have no idea, but it suits my needs so I don't really care regardless.
My favorite Radiohead album and possibly favorite album OAT. Bought it on vinyl off a whim one day and fell in love on first listen.
My second favorite Radiohead album, an absolute vibe and a half. Took a few listens for me to like it, but I honestly can't see how it took more than one.
My third favorite Radiohead album, the only reason it isn't a 5 star is because it sounds juvenile compared to the first two listed. Absolute Banger.
My fourth favorite Radiohead album. I love Kid A, but I need to be in a very certain mood to fully enjoy.
Can't rank the albums like with Radiohead, but I think this is my favorite. Super Solid Album.
Not as solid all around as the other Deftones albums, but the bangers bang hard. Very nice.
A close second favorite for Deftones. Very solid album with some great energy. Loved it on first listen, fitting given the name.
My only Deftones album on CD, saw it at Walmart for $7.99. I am starting to understand the hype now.
I made sure to save my first listen for once I bought the record. Glad to see they've still got it after all these years. Pretty good for a new release.
My first introduction to Trip-Hop. It was unlike anything I ever heard at the time, only rated 4 stars because I've found better albums. Still, very good listen.
Stole it from my sister when I started my collection. I remember not liking it very much when I was younger, but I was entranced when I revisted. Incredible album.
Until recently I didn't know much about this album. After I bought and listened though, I realized how many great songs are from it. Can't believe I didn't know that until now. Absolute banger and a half.
Bought the CD on a complete whim. One of my absolute favorite Hip-Hop albums of all time now. The Kung-Fu movie samples are elite.
My favorite album from Tyler's discography. The whole entire album sounds like how a summer sunset looks, which I absolutely adore. Doesn't get much better than this.
First Tyler album I ever fully listened through, a very solid album with no skips for me. After I bought IGOR I became a huge fan.
Another great album with some amazing features. It's only lower than the others because DJ Drama's narration lowkey kills the vibe.
One of my all time favorite albums, God I wish this guy didn't go batshit insane as of recent. I love his early work, but this is the only one I own.
